Okay, I Admit I Might Be Wrong

I have watched Biden's speech from the convention.

A couple of things:

1 - He speaks well.

2 - He's proud of his family.

3 - His mother reminds me of my grandmother.

4 - He knows how to fire up a crowd.

5 - He brilliantly acknowledges McCain as a friend and respects his history, but does not agree with the direction McCain wants to take the country. Amen.

6 - I hate politicians and lawyers.

7 - I think Barack picked a good running mate.

There, Anonymous, if that IS your real name.............

Not Sure Why

Joe Biden is Obama's VP.

When I heard this, I have to admit I thought "Oh no."

I am not sure why I thought that. Anyone?

I do have the image of when he got hair plugs.

Of course, I can't find the picture.....dammit.

Well, shall we see what happens?

ALMOST The Perfect Date and Other Epiphanies

Friday, as I sat around my apartment bemoaning a social life, I ran across Matt online. As we chatted, he asked me this:

Hey, wanna do something incredibly gay tonight that doesn't involve gay sex?

I wasn't sure how to respond. Upon asking him just what that would involve:

I'm thinking about going to see a sing along Little Mermaid at the Music Box.

He was right. That was incredibly gay. I agreed, and off I went.

We had cocktails before the movie, watched the movie (a lovely mix of families and fags), then did a light dinner and more cocktails after the movie. Then we walked to his place (the weather was perfect) and then he drove me home (with his car to my place - keep it clean, ladies.....)

The next day, I thought that was a perfect "date". The only thing missing was some heavy kissing. And possibly some groping. And a midget, but I digress......

It was nice to hang with a friend and feel special - I needed that. And I think he'd tell you he was happy to hang with me. And this was a good thing. *smiles*

*********************************************************

I am sitting here trying to figure out subtle ways to jab at some folks who have recently rubbed me the wrong way. This is actually the fourth time I've typed this section. So let's try this phrasing it in the form of nuggets of wisdom:

- When you need to apologize, do it. If you miss the opportunities to do so, it just makes things worse.

- If you disrespect someone right off the bat, this will not make you new friends. You will need to correct your error and try again.

- You can work with people and not like them. This does not affect how you do your job.

- If you respect people as much as you say you do, make the effort to see them, no matter what.

- A small role does not mean you are less talented. Unless you don't have any lines. Then you might suck, I don't know........

- I left high school YEARS ago.....I NEVER want to be in the middle EVER AGAIN!

Goodness, I feel better in many many ways..............

As I Avoid Ranting Still

I've always meant to do one of these, but I don't think I ever have. I really liked last TMI Tuesday's post. I didn't care for this week's. So, I'm doing last week's.

1. What is your favorite song to have sex to?

This would be ANY song on Peter Gabriel's PASSION - the LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST soundtrack. I've done it once, and it was memorable. I need to do it again.....soon....please.......

2. What is your vision of hell?

Really stupid people. Polka music plays. AND THERE IS NO BOOZE IN SIGHT! *shudder*

3. In the film made of your life, who will play you?

Interesting question, since everyone seems to be confused about my nationality. So, it could be anyone from Forrest Whitaker to Javier Bardem. But they would cast David Schwimmer. And then I would have to shoot someone. I want this guy to play me. Sorry, that's play WITH me.

4. What is the one thing you most urgently need to tell your mom?

"I'm gay."

5. What will be carved onto your tombstone?

"Parting is such sweet sorrow. Now go have a drink."

And the bonus: What is your drag name (which would be, first name: the name of your first pet; last name: the name of the street you grew up on)?

My favorite drag name is Mary Yolanda Oz.
My sister and her husband think I should be Anita Johnson.
With the rule above, it would be......wait for it.........

PRINCESS CRESTBROOK

A queen who's a princess. Double royalty. Suck on that, bitches.

Good Before the Rant

I've been trying to post since my last entry, but I was afraid I was going to write WAR AND PEACE. So I've let it set, as I am feeling a rant coming on.

However, tonight I am hosting a little FIORELLO! reunion at my apartment. It will be nice to see these folks. We're doing it for Andy, who left a week before the original run was over. He's in town for a few days and we miss the hell out of him.

Having a nice party with quality people makes me smile.

Rant later.

Oh and Shirley, I'm still toying with the FYYFFies, but if I did write one now, it would be for John Edwards, the fucking tool...................

I Guess I'll Listen To Anything Once

So, I'm sitting at my desk.
With headphones on.
Listening.....to............the Backstreet Boys.
I know, I know.
But I realized that I borrowed them from a friend as a joke, added them to my ITunes, and have never listened to the entire albums (Backstreet Boys and Millenium).

But then I was reminded I saw this video ages ago.

It might be one of the gayest things on the planet. (CLEARLY, Howie is......and Nick ain't too far behind.......)
